Book Free ConsultationDirect Billing
I offer direct billing to the following insurance providers, which means your insurer pays their portion directly, so there is no out-of-pocket for the covered amount:
- Alberta Blue Cross
- Medavie Blue Cross
- Sun Life Financial
- TELUS Health
- First Nations Health Authority (FNHA)
For other insurance providers, I provide a receipt after each session that you can submit for reimbursement. Most extended health plans cover Registered Psychologist services.
Good to Know
- Payment: E-transfer, cash, or credit card accepted at time of session.
- Cancellation policy: 24 hours notice required. Late cancellations and no-shows are billed at the full session rate.
- Receipts: Issued automatically through Jane App after each session.
- Tax deductible: Psychologist fees are eligible for the medical expense tax credit on your Canadian tax return.
Maximizing Your Benefits
Before your first session, I recommend checking with your insurance provider about:
- Your annual coverage amount for psychological services
- Whether you need a referral from your family doctor
- Whether your plan covers a Registered Psychologist (most do)
- Your per-session maximum and any deductible
If you have questions about insurance or billing, feel free to ask during your free consultation.
